the problem weren’t the fights; if it had been that, they could have solved it,
or maybe they could just let it go, forgetting the days they had spent
together. No, the problem was that they were extremely in love with each other.
Very much, very much, very much, so much that they couldn’t be separated for a
long time. They needed the warmth of their bodies in the cold mornings, and the
goodnight kisses, and even the little fights after a long, long time being
together. But they were miles away, and after a real, big fight, they couldn’t
hug each other. They hadn’t found a midpoint, they were all or nothing. And
that’s what killed them.’
